Gunmen attack SUN newspaper office, kill 1 staff

A two-man gang reportedly attacked the  Onitsha office of the SUN newspaper on Monday, October 2, killing one staff identified as Fabian Obi.
According to Punch, stormed the newspaper's office at the Old Market in Onitsha, Anambra State, at about 10.25am.
A reporter at the newspaper company, who confirmed the attack, said the victim was a circulation representative.
"They (gunmen) have killed our circulation representative.  I am rushing to the hospital where he was taken to. But I can confirm to you that the incident happened and our circulation man is dead," the source, who did not want to be named, said.
It was gathered that the gunmen shot Obi three times and carted away the money from newspaper sales.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Nkeiruka Nwode, said the command has swung into action to unravel the identity and whereabouts of the killers.
She assured that the suspects will be brought to justice.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Boromeo Hospital morgue.
